Nokia Lumia 510 Review : Windows Phone on a budget

[section_title title=P4 : Music and Video]

Music and Video :

The medial players in Windows Phone are in the Music & Videos hub, which carries the Zune logo. Inside, you get the options of Music, Video, Podcast and Radio. Swipe to the right and you will get the history of your played items. The interface overall is very simple, clean and easy to use. The only real problem is that you need to sync your media via Zune.

The Video player does not play .avi files, but while you are syncing your phone, Zune will convert your videos into mp4 format so that they can be played on the phone. This however, is a very slow task, even on some faster systems, it can take up to an hour or more to convert a movie, a real bummer .

Nokia Music

The phones come with the Nokia Music app, which basically is a music player, you basically have access to your music as well as the store from where you can download your favorite music. There is also an Online radio which is pretty good. At the store, there are 15 million songs to choose from, but at times you might find it hard to find the song of your choice. Never the less its a very useful app.

Overall audio quality seems average. To be honest, I am not a very good judge of audio, so for now lets just take the audio quality to be mediocre. GSMArena’s tests reveal that the audio quality is a little on the lower side.
